I caught part of the 1956 movie "Rock Around the Clock" tonight on the TCM 
channel, featuring Bill Haley and the Comets. This flick purports to be a 
history of the start of rock and roll.   Haley had a dual manual pedal steel 
guitar featured right out front, but much to my shock they also had an 
accordion player doing crazy swing steps behind the string bass.

Oh, the humanitiy . . . .
