[HAM] An idea on AO-28 rebuilding (was C-3 rumbling)

A new idea just occurred to me regarding the increasing necessity of
rebuilding Hammond Organ preamps.

In the vintage hi-fi world, there are several suppliers of
replacement circuit boards for equipment like Dynaco tube gear, and
I'm wondering if it might prove an economically viable alternative to
the rather arduous and time-consuming task of removing and replacing
components on the original turret board to design a drop-in circuit
board that could then be connected to the tube sockets. Or, to take
it one step further, it might even have tube sockets mounted on it.

With the advent of epoxy-fiberglass circuit boards, we have better
options than builders had in the 1950s and 1960s when there were more
problems with phenolic boards: traces lifting off the boards, etc...
And many of these new designs also feature a power supply board on
which you can mount high-quality, discrete power supply capacitors.
They are also often supplied as bare boards or as built circuits
depending on the skill level of the end user.

Triode Electronics and Dynakitparts are only a couple of the
suppliers of such boards.

I submit this as a challenge for anyone who has the design skills to
create it.

David A.
