Jordan, What that means is that there is still a short somewhere between Terminal K and the 1' drawbar wire. Remember that a different wire is connected to that drawbar with percussion on! I recently cleared a percussion short using a car battery charger. I've tried the battery flashing method with mixed results. My thought was that a battery, with its own internal resistance, may not be able to supply enough instantaneous current to burn up the dendrite thoroughly. It worked and has stayed fixed so far. I think some of the supposed risks of flashing are exaggerated. 12V isn't going to hurt the preamp at Terminal K. If no keys or presets are down, the triggering voltage shouldn't be able to get to the busbars, etc... You could also just try wiggling wires around to see if one got its insulation nicked at some point and is shorting. This problem seems to be becoming more common, or at least more people are posting about it. Are the dendrites gaining on us?
