How about trying to *understand* the circuit first before posting  
multiple times?

If the percussion will sound and decay once, it's not in the preamp.  
You installed it; thus, you did the wiring. Don't be so quick to  
blame it on the preamp.

Sorry to sound mean, but you're really flailing around here. You need  
to do your homework first.
