If it were to be made today it probably would have a Made in China sticker on it. That would cut the cost considerably. Some of the Chinese saxophones are comparing very favorably to the best horns from Taiwan. The Taiwanese horns are half to a third the cost of a Selmer, Yamaha, Yanigisaw, Keilwerth.
