Is that entirely true? The component values are asymmetric. Going
through an online crossover calculator yields symmetric component values
which I assume would be for balanced (halved) signal splitting. (If you
average the treble and bass values you get the calculator's component
values.) Given the asymmetric values it suggests that there's some sort
of balance adjustment going on?

If anybody can shed some light on this I think it would be very helpful.
I've easily found inductors that were fairly close to the specified
values but not quite (3.0, 3.3 or 3.5 but not 3.2uH and 5.0 or 5.5 but
not 5.2uH). I suspect that cheating a little with the components would
be ok as long as the total crossover impedance was kept constant. The
question becomes which way is it better to cheat. Or maybe that just
depends whether you want the horn a little more or less prominent? Hey
Kon, do you have any insight here?

At the crossover
point the Leslie crossover is designed such that the energy is halved.
