 I'll add to this. I had a mini pond in my room in San Diego. Had at least 10 goldfish. I'd ring a bell at feeding time and wouldn't you know Pavoov's gold fish...they'd all dart out from under the marble tiles ready to eat...

See I disagree about Goldfish. I've had my Golfish for 4 years, and for
3 1/2 of those years Erudis (his name) is in the same corner every
morning waiting for food. And he gets really excited when he knows I'm
going to feed him. I added another goldfish 2 years ago and he does
exactly the same thing. Every single morning.

So I wonder about that. And who really hooked into the fishes brain and
figured it out?
