Actually the last PR-40's had a 50 watt rating. -----Original Message----- From: hammond-bounces at zeni.net [mailto:hammond-bounces at zeni.net] On Behalf Of Ted Thompson Sent: Friday, June 06, 2008 2:12 PM To: 'The Hammond Forum' Subject: Re: [HAM] What is the power handling rating of each of the 15 inchand 12 inch speakers in the PR-40 tone cabinet ? Remember too, the 40 watt rating of a PR-40 is additive. By that I mean that it's roughly 20 watts bass into 2 15" speakers, 10 watts treble into one 12" speaker, and 10 watts reverb (which could be set to be "dry") into the other 12" speaker. So, in modern terms it's bi-amped: 20 watts bass + 2 x 10 watts treble. Cheers!
