Yes,   you're correct in saying that it is not the diaphram nor does it come

with the replacement diaphram kit.   I don't know of anywhere you can get 
one or if they are currently produced.  It is considered one of those parts 
that never wears out, never gets damaged , etc.   They can crack around the 
screw holes if tightened down with too much torque.   Your best bet is to 
buy a V-21 that is blown and take it out of there or put your good diaphram 
into it.  As far as the name of this part.  hmmmmmmm.   I got it  !   How 
about calling it a diaphram projector .  ?   It sounds very sophisticated to
