Dave,
Yup,semantics I suspect. That 'faceplate' in that particular
construction is also the 'phase plug'. The cork piece would be also if the
audio passed through it, but it doesn't so it's just a plug. I have seen
other drivers with that orfice open. (Responses--be careful!! ) ha ha

Keith,
I'm not sure if we disagree or if it's an issue of semantics.
The V21 faceplate may have a phase plug built into it, but the
primary purpose of the faceplate is to hold the diaphragm in place.
In other words, you could have a faceplate without a phase plug, as
many dome tweeters do, but with no faceplate, what keeps the
diaphragm where it's supposed to be?
Maybe my question for Jordan is: are you looking for the whole
plastic assembly that screws to the metal magnet structure, or are
you looking for the little cork-shaped thing that is stuck into the
larger plastic assembly?
In the first case, you'd probably have to buy a non-working V21 for
parts; in the second case, you should probably be able to fashion one
using an existing one as a guide.
