[HAM] Red Mahogony B-3Dave Bishop xxcaptinxx at comcast.netMon Jun 16 21:45:12 CDT 2008
I thought someone else would respond to your inquiry. Red Mahogony isn't a standard B3 color, but it was available as a special order, along with Brown mahogony. I'm guessing that you're thinking the case might be a fake. You can check that by looking for trim around the bottom sides of the main part of the case, B3 style fluting on the legs, a color mismatch with the overspray on the inside of the case, etc. On many BV and earlier cases the fallboard is concave rather than rectangular in cross section. On the A100 series there is often an "A100" and color designation written on the bare wood of the pedal clavier-- on the face that inserts into the pedal switches. If your organ is a swap, the clavier might give it away. But my first inclination is that its a special order color. If you want to post some pictures, I'm sure the list can tell you whether you have a fake. Regards, Dave Bishop
