Under 500 miles in the mid-west is relatively close. :) But these scanners are described as "they work," but otherwise their condition is unknown. IOW, oiling threads? Who mentioned any oiling threads??? Maybe if you got on the phone and begged....the squeaky scanner always gets the grease.
