Hugh,

The only factor that you left out is the fact that the 32H/46W amps  
put a higher voltage across the speaker's field coil, thus making the  
speaker more efficient.

The power supply on the 32H/46W amps is quite a bit beefier. With two  
5U4s and a choke with a lower DC resistance, there is less sag.

But other than the power transformer and the choke (and an extra  
rectifier tube), it's the same amp.

I'd add that probably all 21H/44W amps need some work at this point.  
The stucco-covered wirewound resistors in them are extremely  
unreliable. In the last one I worked on, the 75 Ohm cathode resistor  
was completely open. In the 32H/46W amps, Leslie used vitreous enamel  
Ohmite cathode resistors that do last.
