The 122 I use works perfectly, but when I plug the cable into the 32H the upper horn makes sound but very weak and the FC bass speaker makes no sound at all. All the tubes in the amp light up but the 4 power tubes never get more than warm to the touch. Anyone know what could be wrong? -JL

Have you checked the fuse in the B+ circuit (the circuit diagram shows a
.25 A fuse going from the center tap of the output transformer
via a 400 Ohm resitor to the screen grids and the field coil supply).
Can you measeure about 300V across the field coil?

Check that fuse first. Looks to me that the field coild doesn't get
current and in conjunction with that the power stage is inoperable.
