So I hit send a little early. So I'll finish the email. Publicly.

I always thought it was the other way around (for no good reason - bright
vibrato channel/dark dry) but the way you describe it makes sense to my ear.
I could live with my XK-3 and even enjoy it if I could stomach the chorus.

The stomp box arrangement is the equivalent of a -2/series with trek perc in
that you're gonna get chorused perc.

BUT.
I'd rather have THAT than you-know-what.

Go for it Kon. You've got the discerning ear and unfathomable attention to
detail required to do that up right. Mod up a few different stomp boxes,
pick your favorite and send me a copy. :)

Here's a challenge I bet you'd take...make a "stompbox" out of a scanner
(with the requisite motors), linebox, the vibrato channel from an A028 and a
blend circuit. Hell. Figure out a way to use a CV preamp (can't remember
the AO) and your blend circuit is built in. Plenty of those amps around
too. I've got all the parts I need to make two of those, I just don't have
the time or patience (or any clue as to how) to accomplish it.
