[HAM] What sticks when a vibrato is stuck ?

  While trying to get the scanner in my M-102 freely moving again, I 
found myself wondering exactly
what is stuck to what ? Is there enough oil gunk that the rotor sticks 
to the stationary plates ?
   I have been studying the relevant pages and diagrams posted at 
Hammonwiki to try and get
a clear picture of what I'm getting into if I take the vibrato apart.
