You connected it in the wrong place in the preamp. The Trek preamp has a
separate output for tone cabinets vs Leslies

Okay, I have a Trek II SSP-3-2 preamp in my CV. As you all know, the
Trek preamp does not require a Leslie connector kit; so, my C-T switch
is wired directly to the preamp.

Today, I disconnected my 122A from the CV and connected my ER-20 tone
cabinet instead. The cabinet sounded good; however, out of curiousity
I decided to flip the C-T switch "just to see." Well, the tone cabinet
became 2.5 times louder (which I liked, of course) and the bass
intensified. Needless to say, when I switched back to chorale, the
tone cabinet's volume became softer again.

So, what's the explanation to this phenomenon?

Thanks,

Fred in Chicago
