According to what I've found out  and what I surmised myself, was Paul 
B. Allen was the singer in the Platters and the Coasters. Allen was 
born in Omaha.


I'm still trying to reconfirm this with others who knew Buddy..

I was never a big fan but I thought he was great for the Band of
Gypsies and

he had a killer rock shuffle.  And yes, he gave us another tune to wear
out

on pick-up gigs!  AND - Molly Hatchet owes HIM for their version of the

Allman's "Dreams".


There's also a great instrumental organ trio track on the Them Changes

record with Andre Lewis on the Hammond.  "Paul B. Allen: Omaha
Nebraska".

Maybe one of you can tell me what/who that's referencing.
