There are two ways, either attaching images to the post, or by linking from somewhere on the net.  The  tags look like the ticket.

Yes, it's envisioned as an enhancement to the mailing list, not a replacement.  However, if serious problems start becoming manifest, then I may go a different route, or no route at all.

The ability to embed photos without trying to send out 600 copies of them at once is a huge bandwidth savings, so that alone should make this a worthwhile endeavor.
