Actually the X-66 does in reality what the rest of the tonewheel units only
promise. The octave divider does not contaminate the sound in any way. The
'66 produces true sine waves,not the approximations of the B,C series.
Different sounds.

I would not have suspected that the octave divider would contaminate  
the sound and then the filters would in a sense "overpurify the sound !

It is not a completely easy concept to grasp that the impurities of  
the Hammond are an important part of the sound and indeed the  
playability, but I have to admit it is so!
