Yeah, the book was handy for schematics before the internet came along.  
Never did like the magical hoo-haw behind the tube numbering system idea.

It's been said before by people much more experienced and knowledgeable 
than me:

Hammond/Leslie amps are not Hi-Fi or guitar amps!
