[HAM] A-100 reverb unit location

Hi Dave,

Just to recap, the reverb came out of a chopped A-100. I probably should
be bugging the seller with my questions, rather than you nice people,
but since you asked....

I took some more pictures and gave the reverb tank a closer look. Here's
the markings on the 1122:

Also on one end of the 1122 there's a square stamp with the number 41,
like an inspectors stamp.

Assuming the orange Hammond sawdust/grunge only collects on the tops of
objects in the cabinet, then judging from the next two pictures, the
tank may have been mounted vertically (on end). Because the orange
grunge only appears on one side of the rubber bumper. But this could
just be bad detective work.

If I hold the tank with the dusty bumpers dust side up, and look at the
inside walls of the tank, the only inside wall that has any dust
collected on it is the end of the tank near the spring input connector:

Here's the picture that shows the brackets on the same side of the tank
as the input and output. Judging by the screws, I don't think the
brackets were removed and replaced.

This one shows the bracket with respect to the coil output connectors.

But just looking at it and the way the reverb springs are mounted,
they're suspended in every direction by smaller springs. I'm not sure if
there's a wrong way to mount this thing.

Regards,
Mike

These can usually be deciphered to figure out what mounting the tank was intended for. The differences have to do with the pull of gravity on the springs.
