[HAM] Percusson Sound

Dear Group,
   
  Is there a reason why some B-3's seem to have a crisper, more driving, percusson sound than others? Is it in the amp, tube[s], Leslie, or what/where?  And is there something that a person can do to help their B-3 achieve that sound?
