[HAM] B-3 pre amprbrown8962 at aol.com rbrown8962 at aol.comTue Mar 18 13:29:27 CDT 2008
Mr. Bishop, If you or someone on the list can give me direction, I would be very appreciative.? I realize from a purest view, the actual tube pre-amp is preferred, but are the TREK II preamps also suitable? Thank you. -----Original Message----- From: Dave Bishop <xxcaptinxx at comcast.net> To: The Hammond Forum <hammond at zeni.net> Sent: Tue, 18 Mar 2008 2:19 pm Subject: Re: [HAM] B-3 pre amp This is probably either failed electrolytic caps or a broken ground wire unrelated to the pre-amp. Unless you buy from a dealer, your next AO-28 might have issues, too. Either can be fixed for a lot less than a new pre-amp. This list can direct you on how to go about diagnosis if you (or a friend) have soldering experience.
