Guys,

I thought the purpose of this site was maintaining real Hammonds and sharing
information about them. I certainly have been helped for free by talking
with tech's such as Bill Brown, Bob Schleicher, the late Bill Beer, George
Benton, Chuck Webb, Goff Professional. I have purchased parts and an organ
and Leslies from various ones mentioned. Many of them gave me at length
information by phone or email many times before I purchased anything. All
have stood behind their equipment with extensive phone support and on one
occasion repair of an item without charge. Some of those techs have either
posted directly (Schleicher) or allowed me and others to post information on
questions asked of them (Benton, Chuck Webb).

Why is a newbie to the list allowed to repeatedly bash a well respected tech
and fellow musician? He obviously by his own report gave Bill the contact
information and asked for a estimate of the organ's value. That is usually
an appraisal which often requires a fee - rather than a quick courtesy
email. If someone contacted me giving me contact information for an
individual with the organ. I would think they would want and appreciate an
email directly from our business with an estimate of worth. An estimate
from an end user might be kind but for practical purposes - meaningless.

The continual banter borders on libel and is sickening. I'm with Scott -
put an end to it.
