I would think that the insurance company would be looking for "replacement value."

So why don't you just show them some online stores selling B3s?

Hello,

I need to figure out the fair market value of 2 B3s.  The first is the 
one that I actually play at home, the one many here have been kind 
enough to help me get working.  The other was picked up at an estate 
auction, and will probably be sold (it's in better shape that the one I 
play, but absolutely no sentimental value).

Anyway, I need the value for insurance and for resale.  Can this be an 
"over the Internet" kind of thing, with real good pictures and 
description, or is this a visit kind of thing, because they're kinda off 
the beaten path?

I am certainly willing to pay for a proper valuation of each, especially 
if it's something the insurance company would accept.
