ENGINES REBUILT BY C.A.R. COMPONENTS
--Continued
We expect you to take responsibility for proper installation of your new
engine, and this means that you will replace the filters and fill your engine with
new oil and that you will make sure that all related components are clean and in
good working order. Clean, new antifreeze, hoses, and flushed or recored
radiator. Cleaned or rebuilt fuel pump, carburettors, and manifolds. Cleaned or
rebuilt distributor with new cap, rotor, points, and condenser. New ignition
cables, spark plugs, and coil. You are responsible for changing oil and oil filter
at 1,000 miles. In fact, many mechanics like to change the oil and filter right
away after the first hour or so of running.
TRF's stock engines are rebuilt to street specifications, and we cannot
honour a warranty on an engine used in competition. To qualify for warranty,
we must be notified immediately of any problem, and the unit must be shipped
back to us. If we determine that the failure was the fault of our materials or
workmanship, we will reimburse for shipping charges. Time or costs of
removal and replacement of any defective unit are not covered by our warranty.
Warranties on high-performance engines must be arranged according to the use
to which the engine will be put.
Note that because of the cost of shipping involved, TRF levies a shipping
surcharge of $100.00 toward the cost of shipping engines back to customers...
