The original stocks of countershaft thrust washers were
depleted several years ago, and the available products
were crap. TRF recommended at that time that using
your old thrust washers over was preferable to fitting the new parts then
available. Thankfully, this situation has been alleviated by an English vendor,
and TRF is supplying new thrust washers once again.

P.S. Basic gearbox rebuild components have improved again over the past two
years, although gears and mainshafts are expensive and often unavailable. Take
care to rebuild your gearbox when it needs it rather than after it has self-
destructed, and it will serve you well for a long time to come.
