NAME BRAND DIFFERENTIAL BEARINGS
AND SEALS
When C.A.R. Components builds a differential, we want to know that we
are using the best bearings, and when it comes to taper roller bearings, we like
Timken bearings which were used originally by Triumph. Timken does not
make inner axle shaft bearings, and we use NTN or SKF bearings for these.
We never use the no-name bearings made in third-world countries, as
we have tried them and we have been unimpressed. If you want the
best bearings, TRF sells them by name, which may not be the
case with other vendors, as Timken bearings are not cheap.
Note that Chicago Rawhide is an old seal company and that
Chicago Rawhide seals are very high quality but no
longer made of rawhide.
