A VERY GOOD BOOK ON TR250, TR6
"The Triumph TR5, TR250, and TR6 Companion"
This book was written by Steven Rossi, a popular president of The Vintage
Triumph Register in the 1980's and Ian Clarke, a friend of Steve's in England. It is a
very readable and informative book with lots of great information about the six-
cylinder TR's that you just don't find anywhere else. I especially enjoy the race
history of the years of SCCA racing ending in Paul Newman's fight for the national
championship in 1976. Paul Newman purchased the TR6 that won the championship
in 1975, and fought the factory teams to win it himself in 1976. The story of the
championship race with Newman dicing with Lee Mueller in the factory TR7 is the
stuff that gives us Triumph owners goosebumps. If you love TR250's and TR6's, you
need to own this book...

by Steven Rossi and

photos, some colour, soft cover
P.S. This book was originally published by Haynes in a small edition that sold
out immediately. It then went out of print, and TRF managed to get permission
to publish it. Our edition is paperback, it is printed on nice paper, and it is well
made. It is a super bargain at the price listed only possible because we publish
the book ourselves.
TRIUMPH TR7, TR8 RALLYE CAR
MODELS
"Two Great Winners from the 1977, 1978 Seasons"
Tony Pond was very successful TR7, TR8 rallye driver, and Fred Gallagher
was his co-driver in both cars modeled here. The white car is a TR7 from the
1977 season, probably as prepared for the Lombard RAC Rallye. The red car is
a TR7 V8 (TR8) as prepared for the 1978 season, specifically the model appears
as the car did for the Manx International Rallye which it won. Tony Pond drove
TR7 and TR8 models to great success as did American John Buffum...
