TRF REPLICA INTERIOR MIRRORS IN STOCK FOR

We received a few of each of these mirrors in time for Christmas delivery last year. This year, we
have all of them in stock in good quantities for Christmas delivery. All of these mirrors are somewhat
similar and all were originally manufactured for Triumph by Magnatex. The TR2 and TR3 mirrors both
have the same stem but different heads, and the late TR3 mirror has the same head as the TR4, Spitfire
mirror but a different stem. All of this stuff is fun to figure out and to get reproduced by good
manufacturers. As you may have guessed, I still enjoy my job after almost thirty years...

John told the story of this mirror very well in the introduction to a Weekend Feature on the
TRF web site...
We had purchased all of the mirrors remaining in Leonia, New Jersey at British Leyland in
the early 1980's. There were hundreds of them, but we sold them all very quickly. We then did
our best to find the two manufacturers. We found them, but they no longer had the tooling, and they had no
interest in making mirrors for us. We sold some aftermarket mirrors for a while, but the desire to
manufacture the mirrors never died. Eventually, we turned the project over to our Taiwan Representative,
and he worked with manufacturers there to produce a replica door mirror. He was very successful, and we
have sold thousands of these mirrors...

good design, the best mirror for these models
P.S. Customers sometimes want to put door mirrors on both sides of the car. I have always discouraged
this, as I do not think a R.H. mirror can be adjusted to provide a good view to the driver. If you want one to
maintain symmetry, that is fine, but you should not expect it to improve visibility to the rear...
