You already know that your Triumph four-cylinder
engine with wet liners was derived from a Massey-Ferguson
tractor engine. That is one reason why it runs forever and
why it is infinitely repairable with replacement cylinder
liners. You may not already know that Offenhauser, the
famous American manufacturer of racing engines, designed
a beautiful valve cover for your TR engine. The design is
beautiful, and it is functional with very deep fins for
cooling. And the manufacturing is completed to a higher
standard than that of any other valve cover available for the
early TR models. The casting is very well made, and the
level of polish is very high with the sides, the tips of the
fins, and the cast in nameplate are all polished like the alloy
engine block of a show bike.
