The TR2 and TR3 battery box was the first part ever manufactured by The
Roadster Factory. Hence, its part number. Over the years, this part has been
manufactured for us by a number of different companies, and we have purchased
some from a manufacturer in England. The ones we sell today are the very best of
the lot with every dimension well thought out and every hole in its proper place.
Sheet metal used is one gauge thicker than original to make a sturdier and longer
lasting replacement.
The TR4, TR4A, TR250, and TR6 battery box repair sections are made in
England by a company which makes body panels from sheet metal using traditional
methods. These parts allow high quality repairs not possible a few years ago.
The replacement parts for MGB battery boxes are made by British Motor
Heritage as a part of its project to manufacture complete body shells. They are made
on original tooling, and the parts are just what you would want them to be.
British Motor Heritage also provides new battery boxes for Spitfire and GT6
models. I am not positive at this time, but these are probably made on factory
tooling, and they are a direct replacement for your old box.

Albert purchased these last summer for this catalogue. They
are the right think with "made in England' moulded on the bottom.
We purchased about eight-hundred, but we now have less than
two-hundred in stock. We may be able to find some more Union
Jack mugs, but I doubt they will be made in England...
