HIGH-PERFORMANCE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS FOR
TR3, TR3A, TR3B
High-performance brake discs are slotted and spot drilled. Slots draw cool air across the pad
surface, keeping pads and discs cooler. Spot drillings, as opposed to holes drilled right through
the discs, break down surface gases when breaking from high speed, but they do not weaken the
cross-section of the disc which can lead to cracking of metal over time. The discs listed here
will fit your stock hubs and will work with your stock calipers.
The discs listed for the TR3B models are available now. Discs for TR3 and TR3A should be
available later this summer.

GREEN STUFF--KEVLAR BRAKE PADS
Kevlar is a braking material whose name I have heard a lot around race tracks over the past
ten years or more. Kevlar is more expensive than standard brake pad material, but it offers
supplier braking performance. EBC Green Stuff pads are made for fast road cars and for mild
racing. Green Stuff pads have a significantly higher friction factor than normal street pads, and
they create very little brake dust.
We are listing pads here for TR3 and TR3A, and for the TR3B models. The early pads are
retained in the calipers by plates and shims secured by set screws on top of the calipers. All of
the TR3B's that we have studied seem to have the later TR4 arrangement in which the pads are
secured in the calipers with pins through the calipers. Study your calipers to insure that you
order the correct pads.
