INTRODUCTION BY CHARLES
I began working on this TR2, TR3 catalogue myself back in April, but it soon
because clear that I would take all year to finish it because of my weekly duties with
regard to weekend features, weekly web specials, and my weekly e-mail newsletter, all
in addition to the fact that I have reopened my English pub known as The Coventry Inn,
and I work there three nights each week.  Because I realized it would take me longer to
complete this catalogue than I wanted, I asked John Swauger, TRF's Sales Manager of
twenty-seven years to complete it instead.  We had wanted to complete this new TR2,
TR3 catalogue before Summer Party in mid July, but we raised our expectations as we
worked on the project, and it has therefore become a bigger and better catalogue.  I
believe that John Swauger has done an excellent job of writing the catalogue and that
Karen Border has done an excellent job of designing the book and producing the
graphics.
We hope that our TR2 and TR3 customers like the format of this catalogue which is
designed for on-line use on our web site or for traditional use in mail and telephone
ordering.  This same catalogue may be found on our web site, page for page, to match
the printed paper copy to be mailed to every TR2, TR3 owner on our active mailing list.
We will continually add to the version of the catalogue on our web site, and we will
mail out updated copies to active customers every ten or twelve months.  It makes sense
to check out the web version of the catalogue often, as that will be our forum for
announcing anything new that we may be offering for the TR2, TR3 models.  In spite of
the fact that we have been handling TR2 and TR3 parts for many years, it is amazing
the number of new listings added to our inventory every month.
As you are likely to be aware, The Roadster Factory is a little company with a big
commitment to Triumph sports cars, and the listings in this catalogue are only a fraction
of the parts we stock and sell for TR2 and TR3.  In fact, we have in stock or have
access to every part currently available world-wide for these favoured models which
have been the central core of our business since 1978.  The TR2, TR3 parts currently
available from The Roadster Factory include everything from major components to nuts
and bolts.  A major portion of this list of components is in stock at The Roadster
Factory almost every day.
In addition to spare parts service, The Roadster Factory runs its own rebuild shop
for mechanical components, including engines, gearboxes, rear axles, steering boxes,
carburettors, and brake calipers.  The mechanical rebuild department of The Roadster
Factory is known as C.A.R. Components, and since autumn 2006, C.A.R. Components
has been run by Tom Spadafora.  Tom Spadafora ran his own garage for many years,
and he joined TRF staff because he is committed to high-quality work, and he likes to
work hard.  In fact, these are the principles on which the Roadster Factory was founded
way back in 1978.
