STARTER MOTORS
TRF can offer you the option of a rebuilt original starter motor for your TR2
or TR3 or a modern, high-torque gear reduction starter.  If you have an early car
that uses the starter with the cover over the pinion gear, core units are scarce and
we would need to have your starter rebuilt and returned to you.  Later starter cores are more
plentiful and are usually on the shelf as exchange units.
The gear reduction starters are light weight and very reliable.  The higher torque of a gear
reduction starter makes them a nice upgrade, and in the case of cars fitted with earlier starters,
the increased reliability is a particular advantage.
