SEAT FRAMES AND SPRINGS
We are excited to be on the verge of finally having our own seat
spring units for the TR3A and TR3B models. These units are
comprised of 113 individual springs that are joined together in a
distinct pattern in order to produce a seat cushion that has the exact
feel of the original. It has taken several years to achieve this, and no
other seat spring unit that you can buy anywhere else can duplicate
the original the way ours do. At the time of this writing, in early
June of 2007, we are several weeks away from receiving our next
batch of individual springs that will allow us to build 120 seat
cushions.
At this time we do not have a similar spring unit for the TR2 and TR3 but we have studied
that type and may add them later. For now, the TR2 and TR3 spring units will be coming from
a U.K. source.

JUMP SEATS, TR3, 1956-1957
Beginning at commission number
TS8637, Triumph offered jump seats as an
option on the TR3. These early jump seat
were in two pieces with a seat cushion and a
seat back, while the later TR3A had only a
seat cushion. Because of the shape of the
fuel tank, jump seats cannot be retro-fitted to
the TR2. TRF supplies jump seats in either
leather or vinyl, and as complete ready-to-fit
units or as recovering kits. Colours available
are black, red, midnight blue, tan, stone, and
grey, all with white piping as original. Please
specify colour when ordering.
