BRAKES
The early TR4 used different brake rotors, pads, and hoses than the later cars.
The change point appears to have been at commission number CT4689 for cars
with wire wheels and CT4387 for cars with disc wheels. A better way would be
to study the physical differences in the major components. The early brake
system used the same components as the Triumph TR3A. Brake rotors measured
11 inches and brake pads were secured with metal plates and shims bolted to the
top of the calipers. The later TR4 had 10-3/4-inch rotors and the brake pads that
were secured with pins through the pads.
