British Car Day always attracts huge participation of Triumphs, MG's,
Jaguars, Healeys, and more exotic British cars. Pittsburgh is a great city,
and British Car Day provides a wonderful introduction for British car
enthusiasts. Pre-registration of a car for British Car Day costs just $20.00
prior to July 7th. Admission to the show field on Saturday, July 14th is open
from 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon only, so plan accordingly. If you wish to
pre-register for British Car Day, please fill out the form on the next page and
mail it to Scott Permar. You may attend The Vintage Grand Prix for free
without entering your car in British Car Day, but the ability to park on the
field near the vintage race is worth the cost of registration. Extra British Car
Day brochures will be available at the TRF Summer Party.
This writer personally regrets the fact that we have a limited number of
competition events at Summer Party 2007. However, I believe that the
opportunity of timing Summer Party to happen just before the VTR
convention and the opportunity to attend British Car Day and The Vintage
Grand Prix make the sacrifice a legitimate one for this year. I believe in
giving everyone a chance to race his or her British car as often as possible.
Remember that it was Summer Party which provided the only opportunity
most of us have ever had to drive in a hillclimb, and we have provided many
other opportunities for drag racing, autocross, LeMans start contests, and
much more. We plan to include competition events in future Summer
Parties.
This year's party will provide many opportunities for fun with other
British car enthusiasts, and it won't result in as much wear and tear on your
car. In addition, a positive benefit to all is that TRF is able to offer minimal
registration fees for Summer Party, 2007 just because we are not spending so
much money on drag racing and insurance packages for competition events
this year. Considering the cost of fuel and the fact that many participants
will also attend VTR, an inexpensive Summer Party may be appreciated by
almost everyone this year.
Adult registrations for Summer Party 2007 are just $39.95 until June
30th. The cost of adult registration increases to $59.95 after June 30th.
Early registration allows us to plan more effectively. Event T-shirts ordered
at the time of pre-registration are just $7.50, and they are $15.95 at the
event. Members of The Coventry Motoring & Aviation Society will also
receive a free logo T-shirt. Camping on TRF grounds with rough facilities
--Please bring your own towels--is just $5.00 per night per family site.
Pre-registrations made on credit cards will be processed on June 30th.
Cancellation of registration with a full refund will be accepted until July
10th. No refunds will be given after July 10th. Camping and motor home
spaces are provided strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please come to Summer Party with a plan to have a great time and to
enjoy an adventure. In Western Pennsylvania, the weather can do anything
at any time, so come prepared. TRF staff will do anything we can to
increase the pleasure of your stay, but we cannot do the impossible.
Attending Summer Party with the pre-determined plan to have a good time
is the best approach. TRF has held twenty Summer Parties to date, and
we've never had a bad one yet...
