BODY SHEET METAL, TR4, TR4A, TR250, TR6
Many of the body panels for these models come from British Motor Heritage, where the TR6 body shell
project resurrected a great deal of original tooling for the TR6 which in its turn had used a great many of the
same components as the TR4 and TR4A. The Roadster Factory supplies body components manufactured by
British Motor Heritage whenever possible, and we search England for sources for everything else. The result
is that nearly any body shell in the TR4 through TR6 range of cars can be repaired to perfect condition if the
necessary skills are available to the enthusiast undertaking the restoration. Most TR6 components such as
fenders, doors, bonnets, and trunk lids will bolt on with only minor tweaking and fitting. TR6 front valances
may require more work, and this is also true of TR4, TR4A, and TR250 fenders. Door skins are made on
TR6 factory tooling, and they are an easy fit.
BODY MOUNTING KITS, TR4, TR4A, TR250, TR6
TRF's own body mounting kits come with all hardware, pads, and fittings
required to fit the body to the chassis frame. All components are also available
separately, although we list only a few of these here. TRF's body mounting kits are
broken down into a number of sub-kits to make use of the components easier for the
customer. You don't just get a huge bag of mixed hardware. Parts are broken down in
separate batches for each section of the car.
