The correct nave for the window raising mechanism is "window regulator," but I have never
thought it was descriptive. Whatever you want to call them, TRF has them available. The MGB
window regulators are more expensive because they were developed to a higher standard for
installation in the MG RV8, a V

8 powered roadster produced by Rover on the MGB platform
during the 1990's. The regulators had to meed modern production standards. That is good; they
cost a lot more, but they work better and last longer...

Window crank knobs come off, and sometimes after long use,
handles will break off around their retaining pins. You can replace
dingy and pitted handles when you are working on your doors with
brand new components. Handy kits also include all handle hardware
and fittings. Note that removing and installing handle retaining pins
can be hard work. There are special tools for this, but it can be done
with a couple of screw drivers for prying the handles away from the
plastic discs and a pair of needle nose pliers for removing or installing
the pins!
