TRF has been selling its own steering pins for many years, and we may, in fact, be supplying
the world market. TR2 and TR3 owners complain about their primitive steering, but only a small
percentage has changed to rack and pinion steering or to high-performance pin replacements. If you
are going to keep your old steering, you will want to insure that the bush and pin assemblies are in
good condition.

I looked for an engineer to design updated steering pins for years, and finally, I found the right
man, a racer and engineer with his own parts manufacturing company. The new assemblies have no
rubber. Instead they have a precision-machined steel pin similar to the pin inside the original parts.
These are fitted with Delrin bushes and top washers to make an assembly that will last for years and
improve steering from day one.
